About The Hammam Academy™

The Hammam Academy™ was founded by Moroccan educator and trainer Cherifa (Cher) Bakali, who has been teaching the traditional Moroccan Hammam ritual since 2015. What began as small enrichment workshops in beauty colleges and private 1:1 training has now grown into the first accredited Hammam training school in the UK & Ireland.

Cher’s work has taken her across the world, from London to Ireland, Spain, Egypt, luxury estates, boutique spas, hotels, and even super yachts, bringing authentic Moroccan Hammam wisdom to modern wellness spaces.

Today, The Hammam Academy™ is based, in Central London and Morocco. This dedicated training space allows us to teach therapists, practitioners, and spa teams the full Moroccan Hammam ritual in its most traditional and culturally respectful form.
